I learned to cook from spending time the kitchen with both my parents and grandparents. Learning the basics and recipes that have been passed down for generations. I always enjoyed watching the cooking channels and experimenting in the kitchen. (Which I still do!)
I can recall countless times I burnt, caught on fire, dropped, accidentally dumped entire containers, forgot items or mixed up really important things like salt & sugar. Needless to say I created dishes that tasted like wallpaper paste. Over time I learned how to make food taste great while putting a healthier spin on a traditional recipe. Cooking really is an art and it takes time and practice to get good at it.
You do not have to be a master chief to make delicious, simple and healthy meals. I can teach you easy ways to make meals with little effort and virtually no clean up.
